Diljit Dosanjh began his career as a musician in the early 2000s. Diljit debuted his career as a singer in 2004 and released his first album, Ishq Da Uda Ada with Finetone Cassettes (a division of T-Series), and then released a series of hit albums and singles that earned him widespread popularity in India and around the world. After the album, Rajinder Singh of Finetone suggested Dosanjh spell his first name as Diljit instead of Daljit.
