She started playing tennis in 2001 when she was just six years old, turning professional in 2003. She won 13 double and 10 singles titles as a junior player. Following her success in previous games, she won the 2003 Wimbledon Championships Girl’s Double titles, partnering with Alisa Kleybanova.
